As a part of my living a bit more environmentally conscious this year (next to going vegetarian + avoiding conventional retail) I also want to try to use as many organic and preferably vegan cosmetics as possible.
With December rolling around comes not only holiday cheer (and countless amounts of cookies, mulled wine and chocolate), but also the cold and – inevitably – dry winter skin and hair.
I know that it’s been ages since I shared my last mixtape (I think it might have been around Christmas last year?).
Sometimes I feel that in our modern world, small acts of kindness are slowly disappearing.
Over the past few weeks here in Scotland, I’ve started trying a lot of the recipes I’ve been pinning on Pinterest (instead of just having a pretty picture collection).
A few weeks ago, I shared a small list of habits we can all adapt to make somebody’s day and just make our world a nicer place to live in.
We all want to ‘change the world’ a little bit, don’t we? Make it a better place to live in.
“She would consider each day a miracle – which indeed it is, when you consider the number of unexpected things that could happen in each second of our fragile existences.”
“People never learn anything by being told, they have to find out for themselves.”
I don’t know if I’ve ever mentioned it on here (I probably have), but I definitely prefer cooking to baking.
You never can squeeze every last bit of pride out of a human being. It’s like a tube of toothpaste. You can twist it and you can crush it but there’s always a tiny bit left isn’t there?
