Hey guys! It’s Friday already and the weekend is here. It’s been a pretty relaxed week for me – probably one of the last until exams are over in August (need to start studying soon…). Here’s what’s been going on in my part of the world:
+ Monday, my little brother celebrated his birthday. I can’t believe he’s ten already! Of course, lots of cake and chocolate was there to celebrate.
+ On Wednesday my flatmate and I went out and got home-made Chinese food (even the noodles were fresh and awesome). It was a really nice and sunny evening, we took our bikes there and were able to sit outside, had some white wine with the food and were surrounded by relaxed and happy people. Instant summer feeling.
+ Thursday, I was invited to a girls-only Strawberry Brunch. We had fresh Greek Yoghurt, melted chocolate, milkshakes and of course – tons of strawberries! It was super-nice and of course extremely delicious. I recommend trying it as well as long as strawberries are in season.
+ Yesterday, was a holiday in Germany and I definitely enjoyed it lazy in bed with a cup of coffee and some favourite blogs. I recently discovered Joy Felicity Jane and I’ve clicked my way through the archives (so much goodness there!). You should definitely check it out if you haven’t already.
+ I finished reading The Paris Wife by Paula McLain this week (a two-hour commute to work can be good for something). I really enjoyed it and it made me wish to go to Paris, eat croissants for breakfast and hang out with Hemingway, Fitzgerald and Gertrude Stein. Definitely recommend this book!
+ Last week, I finally got a clothing rack for my room (the classic – Ikea Mulig) and now I’m looking for ways how to decorate it without making the room look messy. I really like these rooms, perfect clean solutions.
+ My birthday is coming up (whoop whoop) and I’ve been putting together a little wish list. This print and this cute journal are really high on my list!
What have you been up to this week? And what about your weekend? I’m driving home this evening for a Downton Abbey marathon (finally watching season 4). Tomorrow I’ll probably visit my grandma and then watch the Ghana – Germany World Cup game with my friends. Nice and relaxing – just how I like it.

What a nice idea to sum up the good moments of one’s week! I should do this more often, especially given that I was away from home for a business trip during the last weeks and was SO bored… This would help me focusing on positive thoughts! Well, at least the good thing in this was that I was happy to be back home last week and to go back to my normal routine (and to go to the gym again!).
